Emeril Lagasse Foundation raises over $150,000 at Fetzer Vineyards

Hopland, Calif. (May 12, 2004) – Chef Emeril Lagasse surprised the Ukiah school district with an unexpected check for $27,845 to support the Growing Healthy Kids from the Ground Up gardening program. The donation helped fund garden programs at Ukiah’s schools involving some 200 teachers and 5,000 students.

Chef Lagasse and chefs from his nine restaurants took up residence during harvest at Fetzer Vinyeards, staging three distinct events to raise funds for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation.

Thanks to the generosity of Fetzer Vineyards, and this partnership, the Emeril Lagasse Foundation raised money for charities both in Northern California, as well as the cities where Emeril’s restaurants operate.
