Café Reconcile

Training in the Core Values of Hospitality and Life Skills

Café Reconcile, a hospitality training program for at-risk youth, has enabled over 1,500 students to empower their own futures since opening its doors 15 years ago. The renovated 5-story building has revitalized a historic corridor in Central City New Orleans. Through the language of food, interns receive expanded training by catering events in the community, and alumni now assist in recruiting and peer-to-peer mentoring. A beneficiary since 2004, Café Reconcile opened the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Hospitality Center in 2013.
