Since the beginning of the 2010 school year, Liberty’s Kitchen has been serving nutritious meals from scratch with fresh ingredients to the students of New Orleans College Prep Charter School. The menus are prepred within the USDA guidelines for healthy school meals. This program helps to expand training opportunities by providing additional experiential education for the Liberty’s Kitchen interns in a commercial kitchen setting.

ELF will be supporting Unified Summer Grant Collaborative for the sixth year. Applications are now available to any public or charitable, non-profit (tax exempt) organizations operating in Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany or Tangipahoa Parishes. Programs may be held anytime between June 1 and August 31. More info is available at www.unitedwaynola.org.
