Providing the skills to thrive

Food For Thought provides backpacks filled with healthy, easy to prepare food for students who are dependent on free or reduced school meals in Walton and Okaloosa Counties.

Through Food for Thought's Full Circle Kitchen Program, high school studentsl have access to a fully functional teaching kitchen with basic cooking equipment and a safe learning environment to acquire the skills necessary to prepare a meal. Students learn fundamental cooking skills from restaurant partners and local chefs creating a path from food insecurity to self –sufficiency.
