Tina Dixon-Williams

After earning her Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Northern Iowa and a brief stint of working abroad for the United States Army in the Office of Morale, Welfare & Recreation, Tina Dixon-Williams moved to New Orleans where she served as the Coordinator of Federal and State Programs and later in the the Department of Utilities for the City of New Orleans. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Tina worked for the United States Army Corps of Engineers in its Hurricane Storm Risk Reduction national response plan. Tina went on to serve as Catering & Events Manager at Café Reconcile. In 2015, Tina joined the Emeril Lagasse Foundation team as Events Manager to diversify fundraising through special events. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is a mother and the wife of a Nightingale awarded Medical Sales Specialist. On most Saturday mornings you can find her in one of New Orleans Public Libraries browsing and in the evenings, if you look hard enough, you will find her exploring the amazing cultural richness of Louisiana’s food and live music circuit.
