A Weekend of Impact at Line, Vine & Dine

We recently hosted Line, Vine & Dine, our annual fundraising event weekend, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This signature event supports the work of Emeril Lagasse Foundation and benefits local partners Arc Broward and Dan Marino Foundation, who provide culinary and hospitality training for young people with developmental disorders and other life challenges. Throughout the weekend, youth played an integral role in the event’s success while gaining valuable real-world experience in hospitality.

Students from Arc Broward assisted with food stations across several key events, including the Welcome Reception, the Yacht Hop, and the Vine & Dine dinner. Their enthusiasm and professionalism were evident as they welcomed and served guests throughout the weekend. Adding a heartwarming touch, contestants from Miss Arc Broward greeted guests as they arrived for Vine & Dine, Saturday evening’s reception that featured guest chefs and vintners, live music, and a live and silent auction.

One of the most powerful moments of the weekend came when Zhyon Thomas, an Arc Broward alumnus, took the stage. Sharing his story and the impact of the organization on his life, Zhyon’s remarks earned him a standing ovation.

Additionally, students from Dan Marino Foundation worked alongside some of the country’s top vintners throughout the weekend, gaining hands-on experience and showcasing the skills developed through their training. They also greeted guests at the Welcome Reception, the Yacht Hop, and the Vine & Dine dinner, creating a welcoming atmosphere for attendees. Adding to the excitement, Dan Marino himself joined the celebration at Vine & Dine, in support of the students.
