Donor Spotlight: UKG

At Emeril Lagasse Foundation, we firmly embrace the potential for community transformation through meaningful collaborations, and we are excited to spotlight UKG as a valued ally.  Their commitment to putting people first aligns seamlessly with our passion to create generational change in the lives of the children that we serve.

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with Heather Geronemus, UKG’s Senior Director of Social Equity, Opportunity, and Impact. Heather’s passion and UKG’s “we” mentality underscore their commitment to community impact and why they support Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen.

UKG recognizes that corporations have a philanthropic responsibility and believes a healthy community starts with supporting our children. Heather shared,

“At UKG, we look at accelerating equity, opportunity, and impact through strategic philanthropic investments. Our employees understand the importance of giving back and serving our global communities and are always excited to invest in programs that create equitable opportunities for children.”

UKG was drawn to the holistic approach of  Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen and the connection between our program’s purpose and UKG’s pillars of support – health, human services, and education. Heather expressed excitement about witnessing the program’s impact, calling it a

“unique model that inspires a lifelong love of health, nutrition, and the environment. Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen gives students the tools to make healthy choices that will ripple far past their time in the program.”

We are thrilled about the ongoing opportunities to engage with UKG as they accelerate their footprint not just nationwide, but globally. Heather and the team at UKG share our enthusiasm for enriching the lives of children through a fun, fresh perspective on food.

Together, with UKG, we are poised to make a direct, lasting impact on the lives of young people.
