Mentorship That Moves Futures Forward
Chef Aarón Sánchez was recently honored in Washington, D.C. with the 2026 Excellence in Mentoring Award in Public Elevation from MENTOR National, a recognition that reflects a career defined by culinary excellence and a deep and ongoing commitment to uplifting the next generation. Through the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund, Chef Aarón has championed mentorship as a powerful force for change, creating pathways for young people to pursue their passions and build meaningful careers.
The award’s meaning was amplified by the presence of Jasmine Martinez, a graduate of the Aarón Sánchez Scholarship Class of 2022, who introduced Chef Aarón. Her introduction served as a testament to the real and lasting impact of mentorship—one that extends far beyond the classroom and into the lives and futures of the young people this program supports.
Mentorship is at the heart of the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund. As Chef Aarón shared,
“With our program, with the Impact Fund, at its core is the power of mentoring.”
This philosophy is woven into every aspect of the program, from hands-on training and professional development to the personal guidance that helps students navigate both challenges and opportunities along their culinary journeys.
We are proud to debut the new Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund video, which highlights the stories, experiences, and growth of the young people at the center of the program. Together, these moments underscore a powerful truth: when mentorship is present, potential becomes possibility.
