Pickleball TOURNAMENT RULES
2-Person Team Round Robin
Tournament Overview
- Round Robin Doubles, 2 Courts
- Each match played to 11 points (win by 2)
- Teams earn 1 point per win
- Team with the most points wins the tournament
- Tiebreaker: Head-to-Head Match
Rules
Serving Must be underhanded with paddle below the wrist; drop serves are allowed. Serve diagonally and stay behind the base line.
Service Sequence Both players serve until a fault, except at the game’s start when only one player serves.
Scoring Points are scored only by the serving team; games are to 11, win by 2. Rally scoring is allowed.
Two-Bounce Rule The ball must bounce once on each side before volleying.
Non-Volley Zone No volleys allowed within the 7-foot “kitchen” area; momentum cannot carry a player inti it after a volley.
Line Calls Balls landing on lines are in, except on serves hitting the non-volley zone line, which is a fault.
Faults Includes hitting out of bounds, volleying in the non-volley zone, missing a serve, or hitting the net.
Side-Outs The serve switches sides after two faults.
Choosing First Serve Any fair method can decide which team serves first.
