William H. Hines
William H. Hines is the Managing Partner of Jones Walker law firm, a 350 attorney firm headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Hines has served as Chairman of the Board of Greater New Orleans, Inc. during its first year of existence, 2004-2005, and was the Chairman of the Board of the Metro Vision Economic Development Partnership from 2001 through 2003. He has completed terms as Chairman of the Board of the following organizations: UNITY of Greater New Orleans, The Idea Village, the Downtown Development District of the City of New Orleans, the Louisiana Committee of 100 For Economic Development, the Council for a Better Louisiana, the New Orleans Arts Council, the United Way for Greater New Orleans, the New Orleans Region Community Advisory Board of Teach for America, and WYES-TV 12. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Son of a Saint and in board and/or leadership positions with the N.O. Business Council, the World Trade Center of N.O., the Greater N.O. Sports Foundation (he also co-chaired the NCAA 2003 Final Four Host Committee), the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, the Bayou District Foundation, and the Louisiana State Museum Foundation. He also serves on the Ochsner Health System Board, and the Tulane University President’s Council. He is a graduate of Princeton University (A.B. 1978) and the University of Virginia School of Law (J.D. 1982).
